TYLER, Texas - (5/23/19) – Caroline Ratti and Jacqueline Riley have both been tabbed National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Americans as announced on Wednesday at the Division III Softball Championship. Ratti was named to the second team, while Riley was selected to the third team.
Ratti earns her first All-American selection after hitting .405 with 64 hits, 58 runs scored, 45 RBI's, 33 stolen bases, 15 doubles, nine home runs and two triples in 47 games. The senior posted a .696 slugging percentage and a .492 on-base percentage as she was named to the All-Region, the NJAC Player of the Year and the Union Regional All-Tournament Team.
Riley earns her first All-American selection after hitting .333 with 39 hits, 35 RBI's, 14 runs scored, five doubles and two home runs in 39 games. In the circle, the senior posted a 16-1 record with a 1.33 ERA, 71 strikeouts, 14 complete games, and two saves in 115.2 innings pitched over 22 appearances as she was named both an All-East Region and an All-NJAC first team selection.
Ratti becomes the eighth All-American in program history and the third selection to the second team joining Emily Sabo (2015) and Courtney Yard (2015). Riley becomes the ninth All-American in program history and the third selection on the third team joining Dana Knapp (2016) and Shannon McMahon (2017).
