Women's Basketball Breezes By Lehman

Bronx, N.Y. (1/3/19) – The Kean University women's basketball team used a 37-0 run between the second and third quarters to topple Lehman College, 74-30 in non-conference action.

Junior Payce Lange led all players with 21 points while adding eight rebounds as the Cougars improved to 6-7 on the season.  Lisa Fields led the Lightning (1-10) with 19 points, playing all 40 minutes.

After a tight 10 minutes, the Cougars blew the game open between the second and third quarters, outscoring Lehman, 37-0, while taking a 57-17 lead.  Kean then cruised for the next 13 minutes, leading by as many as 45 on three occasions.

Freshman Shannon McCoy had 12 points in 21 minutes while Cindy Foresta added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Kean returns to NJAC action on Saturday when they host William Paterson University on Saturday at 3 p.m.
