Women's Lacrosse Stays Unbeaten in 13-7 Win

Glenside, Pa. (3/19/16) – The Kean University women's lacrosse stayed perfect with a 13-7 win over Arcadia University on Saturday in non-conference action.

Sam Gnapp (pictured left) led all players with four goals on the afternoon as the Cougars improved to 5-0 this spring.

Kean's offense controlled the first 30 minutes of action as the Cougars raced out to a quick 3-0 lead in the span of the first two minutes of action.  Jordan Blanda, Sarah Powers and Emily Stasuk each netted a goal in the run.

The Cougars used a six goal run eclipsing the first and second half to give them enough cushion to power to the win.

Blanda ended the day with three goals and an assist with nine draw controls and three caused turnovers.  Stasuk and rookie Morgan Graham each tallied two goals.

Keeper Nikki Apostolopoulos made seven stops for her fifth win.

Kean hosts SUNY College at Old Westbury on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
