Women's Lacrosse Breezes by Farmingdale State

Union, N.J. (3/30/19) – The Kean University women's lacrosse team breezed to a 21-5 win over Farmingdale State College in non-conference action on Saturday.

Katie Pileggi led all players with four goals while adding an assist as the Cougars (3-6) have now won back-to-back games.

Kean netted the first three goals of the contest and didn't look back, leading wire-to-wire.  Danni LeSaint, Meghan Tillger and Pileggi each scored in the game's first four minutes.  The Rams (1-9) got on the board with 23 minutes to go in the first half as Courtney Gendels netted a free position shot. 

The Cougars pushed their advantage out to double digits as Amanda Ehrhart collected three straight tallies in the span of three minutes.  Kean headed into the break with a 13-3 lead.

The Cougar offense the paced the second half, scoring seven straight before Kristen Shine broke up the run with an unassisted marker with 8:50 left to go (20-4). 

LeSaint collected two goals along with nine draw controls.  Tillger, Ehrhart and Dana Meehan all had a hat trick in the win.

Kean returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Drew University.
