Women's Lacrosse Bows Out of NJAC Tournament

Ewing, N.J. (5/1/19) – Top seeded The College of New Jersey defeated the Kean University women's lacrosse team by the final of 18-4 on Wednesday night.

With the win the Lions will face #2 Rowan University (winners over Montclair State University, 13-9) in the NJAC Championship on Saturday.  With the loss the Cougars fall to 7-11 to end the 2019 season.

Kean kept it close in the early going taking a 2-1 lead on Dana Meehan's goal off an assist from Morgan Graham.  The Cougars took their last lead with 10:57 to go in the first half off a goal from Meghan Tillger.

Unfortunately that would be the last goal for Kean as TCNJ (12-5) rolled off 15 straight to end the contest.

Graham finished with two assists for Kean as she stands now with the second most in a career in Cougar history.

Alex Fitzpatrick led TCNJ with five goals on the evening.
