Pitman, N.J. (9/17/18) – Freshman Mary Bystrycki has been tabbed the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office.
Bystrycki picks up her second straight NJAC Defensive Player of the Week accolade after posting two more shutouts early in her rookie season. She made five saves across two games in a total of 155 minutes. She stopped one shot and earned the combined shutout, playing 45 minutes in a 2-0 nonconference win over Manhattanville. She then went the distance in a double-overtime scoreless draw in the conference opener against Stockton, recording four saves in the 110 minutes of action.
Bystrycki currently leads the NJAC with a scorching .905 save percentage this season and is fifth with a 0.67 goals against average.
