Bystrycki Tabbed NJAC Rookie of the Week

Pitman, N.J. (10/29/18) – Freshman Mary Bystrycki has been tabbed the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office.

Bystrycki collects her second NJAC Rookie of the Week award and fourth weekly award overall as she was also twice named the Defensive Player of the Week. She recorded 19 saves while giving up just one goal as the Cougars did everything they needed to clinch the final NJAC Tournament berth. She faced 32 shots and made 11 saves as Kean tied Montclair State in the regular season finale to earn the playoff spot. She then faced 20 shots and made eight saves to cement her fourth solo shutout as Kean upset Stockton 1-0 in the first round of the NJAC Tournament.

Bystrycki currently leads all NJAC keepers with a .904 save percentage, and is fourth with a 0.78 goals against average.
