Friday's Action in the Kean Invitational

Union, N.J. (9/17/10) – The Kean University women's volleyball team suffered their first conference loss of the season as Montclair State University picked up their first win overall defeating Kean 3-1 Friday night in the Kean Invitational.

MSU (1-10, 1-0 NJAC) won by final set scores of 25-13, 19-25, 25-21, 25-23 and were led by freshman Marta Topor who had 14 kills and 9 digs along with two service aces.

Kean (7-5, 0-1 NJAC) was led by junior Nicole Bolash who had a double-double 10 kills and 17 digs.

Kean rebounded and defeated Centenary College, 3-1 (25-16, 22-25, 25-19, 25-14), in their second match of the evening.

The Cougars (8-5) were led by Bolash (pictured right) who had nine kills and 12 digs along with two service aces while juniors Tara Richey, Ivana Kapetanovic and sophomore Katie Schuh combined for 14 blocks.

Centenary College (2-9) was led by Devon Paffendorf who had 13 kills.
