DALLAS, Pa. (10/29/16) – The Kean University women's volleyball team salvaged a split on the final day of the regular season with a 3-1 victory over Wells College after dropping a match by the same score to host Misericordia University earlier on Saturday.
The Cougars fell 25-23 in the opening set to Wells, but steadily improved and won the second set by three, the next by four and the final set 25-16.
Kean racked up 10 team blocks in the match against Wells and limited the Express to a .084 hitting percentage. Freshman Kortnee Nelson had a career-best 17 digs in the match and Julia Fiore added another 10 in that category.
