Women’s Volleyball Improves Winning Streak to Four Matches with Tri-Match Sweep

UNION, N.J. (9/15/18)- The Kean University women's volleyball team improved their winning streak to four matches with straight set sweeps of New England College and St. Joseph's College (L.I.) on Saturday afternoon.

Kean 3, New England 0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-11)

Andrea Antal and Cailyn Ross combined for 20 kills as the Cougars improved to 7-3 overall with the 3-0 sweep of the Pilgrims from NEC. Britni Jaskot handed out 35 assists, while Amanda DeLio collected 12 digs. Ross also added five aces in the process.

Tihani Ehia finished with six kills and seven digs for New England.

Kean 3, St. Joseph's (LI) 0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-15)

Vikki Stec totaled 12 kills and hit .400 as the Cougars improved to 8-3 overall with the 3-0 sweep of the Golden Eagles for SJC. Michelle Froehlich handed out 30 assists, while Sarah Sample collected 16 digs.  Antal totaled eight kills and a .417 hitting percentage, while Froehlich added four aces.

Kriste Bohnenblusch finished with six kills for St. Joseph's.

Head Coach Don Perkins and the Cougars will return to action in Wayne, N.J. on Tuesday, Sept. 18th, against the Pioneers of William Paterson University at 7:00 p.m.
