Women’s Volleyball Swept by Vassar in Non-Conference Action

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (9/28/18)- Brett Harper posted a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs as the Kean University women's volleyball team was swept by Vassar College in straight-sets, 3-0 (23-25, 17-25, 23-25) on Friday evening.

Jennifer Kerbs totaled 10 kills for the Brewers who improve to 9-6 overall. Kortnee Nelson collected 22 digs for the Cougars who fall to 12-7 overall.

Kean only hit .125 for the match, despite being neck and neck with Vassar in the first and third sets. The Brewers eventually pulled away in both sets.

Brianna Calvano finished with 29 assists, six digs, two kills, and one ace, while Andrea Antal totaled eight kills. Calvano also tallied her 2,000th assist in tonight's loss. 

Head Coach Don Perkins and the Cougars will return to action in Glassboro, N.J. on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd, against the Profs of Rowan University at 7:00 p.m.
