Women’s Volleyball Swept by Rowan

GLASSBORO, N.J. (10/2/18) - Vikki Stec and Jesse Larkin combined for 19 kills as the Kean University women's volleyball team was swept by Rowan University, 3-0 (21-25, 18-25, 21-25) on Tuesday evening.

Megan Jacobi finished with nine kills for the Profs who improve to 13-8 overall and 3-2 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Brianna Calvano handed out 33 assists for the Cougars who fall to 12-8 overall and 4-1 in the NJAC.  

Larkin hit .398 and added six digs, while Kortnee Nelson collected 14 digs. The Cougars posted a .147 hitting percentage and 21 errors on the match. Despite the numbers, Kean tallied a .316 hitting percentage in the third and final set.

Brett Harper totaled six kills and eight digs, while Zoe Strozewski added five kills and Calvano finished with four kills. Julia Fiore collected five digs and Sarah Sample totaled three.  

Head Coach Don Perkins and the Cougars will return to action in Madison, N.J. on Thursday, Oct. 4th against the Devils of FDU-Florham at 7:00 p.m.
