Women’s Volleyball Bounces Back with Sweep of FDU-Florham

MADISON, N.J. (10/4/18)- Brett Harper and Zoe Strozewski combined for 23 kills as the Kean University women's volleyball team bounced back with a straight-sets sweep of FDU-Florham, 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-17) on Thursday evening.

Strozewski finished with a .909 hitting percentage for the Cougars who improve to 13-8 overall. Lauren Harris totaled 11 kills for the Devils who fall to 7-17 overall.

Strozewski totaled her 10 kills over the first two sets, while Harper totaled 10 of her 13 kills in the final two sets. Kean hit .302 for the match, which included a .368 percentage in the second set and a .349 percentage in the third set.

Brianna Calvano finished with 20 assists, while Michelle Froehlich totaled 18 assists. Cailyn Ross and Jesse Larkin each tallied seven kills apiece, while Kortnee Nelson collected 11 digs.

FDU finished the match hitting .135 as a team.

Head Coach Don Perkins and the Cougars will return to action in Haverford, Pa. on Saturday, Oct. 6th in a tri-match against Gettysburg College and Haverford College beginning at 2:00 p.m.
