Women’s Volleyball Rolls in Sweep of Ramapo, 3-0

UNION, N.J. (10/9/18)- Cailyn Ross finished with 12 kills and a .667 hitting percentage as the Kean University women's volleyball team rolled in a straight sets sweep of Ramapo College, 3-0 (25-9, 25-14, 25-16) on Tuesday evening.

Vikki Stec totaled 11 kills, nine digs, four aces and a .409 hitting percentage for the Cougars who improve to 15-9 overall and 5-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Hannah Frascella finished with nine kills for the RoadRunners who fall to 6-17 overall and 1-4 in the NJAC.

The Cougars tallied 45 kills and posted a .464 hitting percentage with just six errors on the match. Ross and Stec both tallied at least three kills in each set. Kean hit above .200 all evening with a staggering .739 percentage in the first set and a .484 percentage in the third set.

Brianna Calvano finished with 33 assists and nine digs, while Brett Harper totaled seven kills, 12 digs and four aces. Jesse Larkin added seven kills, while Sophia Barilla totaled five.

Ramapo hit .111 for the match with 12 errors.

Head Coach Don Perkins and the Cougars will return to action in Owings Mills, Md. on Saturday, Oct. 13th in a tri-match against Cabrini University and Stevenson University, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
