Women’s Volleyball Sweeps Rutgers-Camden on Senior Night

UNION, N.J. (10/18/18)- Vikki Stec and Zoe Strozewski combined for 27 kills as the Kean University women's volleyball team swept Rutgers-Camden, 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-16) on Senior Night.

Stec finished with 17 kills and a .500 hitting percentage for the Cougars who improve to 16-12 overall and 6-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Myiah Gatling totaled seven kills for the Scarlet Raptors who fall to 9-14 overall and 0-7 in the NJAC.

Strozewski tallied 10 kills and a .500 hitting percentage, while Brianna Calvano handed out 34 assists. Kean hit .326 for the match and totaled 15 blocks. The Cougars dominated throughout never letting their hitting percentage dip below .250.

Andrea Antal finished with five kills, three aces, three digs and three block assists, while Jesse Larkin added four kills, five digs and four block assists. Julia Fiore collected 11 digs, while Stec totaled seven.

Before the match, Head Coach Don Perkins and his staff honored seniors Antal, Stec, Brett Harper and Fiore for their hard work and dedication to the program.  With the win, Perkins collects his 197th career victory as he attempts to close in on 200.

Coach Perkins and the Cougars will return to action in Galloway, N.J. on Tuesday, Oct. 23rd, against the Ospreys of Stockton University at 7:00 p.m.
