Harper becomes the fourth different Cougar to earn NJAC Player of the Week honors after averaging 3.11 kills and 3.00 digs per set during a 3-0 week of NJAC Tournament play for NJAC champion Kean. The NJAC honorable mention honoree opened her week by collecting 16 kills and 5 digs, including her 1,000th career kill during a 3-0 NJAC first-round victory over William Paterson. Two nights later, she registered four kills and 11 digs during a 3-0 NJAC road upset of second-seeded Rowan. She then wrapped up the tournament with eight kills and 11 digs during a 3-0 championship match victory over Montclair State.
Harper, who hit .304 in the three tournament victories combined, currently ranks seventh in the NJAC in points (3.30 per set).
Larkin becomes the second different Cougar to earn NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after averaging 2.78 digs and 1.67 blocks per set during three NJAC Tournament victories for NJAC champion Kean. She opened the week with seven digs and one block during an NJAC opening round victory over William Paterson. Two nights later, she tallied nine digs and eight blocks during a 3-0 NJAC semifinal road sweep at rival Rowan. She then wrapped up the tournament by collecting nine digs and six blocks during a 3-0 championship match victory over Montclair State.
A first-team all-conference honoree this season, Larkin currently ranks third in the NJAC in blocks (0.79 per set).
Head Coach Don Perkins and the Cougars will return to action in Providence, R.I. on Friday, Nov. 9th against the Cardinals of Wesleyan University in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at 12:30 p.m.
