Larkin and Strozewski Named AVCA Division III All-Americans

LEXINGTON, Ky. (11/13/18) - Junior Jesse Larkin and sophomore Zoe Strozewski have both been named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American Honorable Mention selections. Larkin and Strozewski become the second and third All-Americans in program history.

Larkin was named a first-team All-NJAC selection after totaling 339.5 points, 259 kills, 125 digs, 91 blocks and 30 aces over 34 matches. She averaged 2.90 points per set, 2.21 kills per set, 1.07 digs per set, 0.78 blocks per set and a .325 hitting percentage.  During the season, she was named the NJAC Player of the Week twice and the Defensive Player of the Week once.

Strozewski was named an NJAC honorable mention after totaling 299.5 points, 252 kills and 77 blocks over 31 matches. She averaged 2.77 points per set, 2.33 kills per set, 0.71 blocks per set and a .340 hitting percentage.

The two Cougars join Sara Ridgway as the only All-Americans in program history. Ridgway was also named an All-American honorable mention in 2017.

Last week, Larkin and Strozewski were both named to the AVCA Northeast All-Region team.
